Real Madrid Legends Game — Zidane, R9, Di Stéfano
Real Madrid have produced more all-time greats than any club in football history. 15 Champions League titles. 36 La Liga titles. Generations of icons who defined the sport. On Vikto, you draft them against another player — Zidane, Ronaldo R9, Di Stéfano, Raúl, Roberto Carlos, Sergio Ramos — and find out whose dream Madrid squad wins.
Pick your team. Bid blind. Build the legendary attack, midfield, and defense that only Real Madrid could provide.
The Real Madrid icons
Some legends transcend the club itself. Vikto recognizes these by promoting them to Icon status — a permanent designation reserved for players who shaped not just Real Madrid but football as a whole. Icons receive a +5 base score boost and are visually distinct in every match.
Real Madrid’s Icons:
- Cristiano Ronaldo — 98 — 450 goals in 438 games, a rate no one at the club has approached. Four Champions Leagues, three Ballons d’Or in white, and the all-time top scorer in the club’s history. La Séptima to La Decimotercera runs through him.
- Alfredo Di Stéfano — 96 — 308 goals in 396 games. Five consecutive European Cups. La Saeta Rubia. The foundation everything else was built on, and still the most complete footballer the club has fielded.
- Zinedine Zidane — 96 — Three Ballons d’Or. The 2002 Champions League volley in Glasgow. The Galáctico who made Real Madrid feel inevitable again. Still the most elegant midfielder the club has ever fielded.
- Ronaldo R9 — 95 — The Phenomenon. 104 goals in 177 games during his peak years at the Bernabéu. The fastest player to 100 club goals. Two Ballons d’Or before joining, and the most clinical striker of his generation while playing in white.
- Luka Modrić — 93 — The 2018 Ballon d’Or that broke a decade of Messi and Ronaldo. Five Champions Leagues from midfield, and more than a decade of being the player who decided which tempo a final was played at.

Vote for next Icon
Vikto’s Icon designation isn’t fixed — it’s shaped by the community. Anyone can vote, anonymously, on which Real Madrid legend deserves promotion to Icon status. The legends pulling the most votes are surfaced as Icon candidates for the game.
This is how the meta evolves. A wave of nostalgia could push Butragueño to Icon. A breakout argument about underrated greats could elevate Redondo. The community decides.
How the game works
Pick Real Madrid and a position — attackers, midfielders or defenders. Six legends are drawn at random from that one twelve-card pool, so every card in the match shares a position. You’ll see all six names up front, but their scores stay hidden until each card comes up for bid. You and your opponent each start with $250M to spend across the six.
Bids are blind. You can’t see your opponent’s offer until you’ve both locked in, and the higher bid takes the legend. The minimum is $1M and passing isn’t allowed. Spend wisely — the card you overpay for in round one is the budget you don’t have when Cristiano Ronaldo appears in round four. And the moment you own three cards, every remaining legend is handed to your opponent for nothing.
Then you each name a captain, worth +10% on that card, and three duels resolve the match: both squads ranked by score, best against best, second against second, third against third. Every match is also set in a decade and at a venue, and a legend who fits either scores 10% more — 15% if they’re an Icon. That’s how a 93-rated Ferenc Puskás plays as a 123 and beats a 98-rated Cristiano Ronaldo caught out of era. Win two duels of three and the match is yours; the total across your three cards decides nothing.

Frequently asked questions
Are Cristiano Ronaldo or Mbappé in Vikto?
Cristiano is — a 98 Icon and the highest-rated card in the Real Madrid attacking pool, covering his 2009–2018 spell. Mbappé isn’t in this roster; he appears as a 96 for PSG and a 95 for France.
Can I play Real Madrid vs another club?
Each match is between players drafting from the same club. To play Real Madrid vs Arsenal, both players would need to be in a specific cross-club tournament — coming soon.
Why are the scores different from FIFA?
Vikto’s scoring is based on career achievements at the club, not a single season’s form. Roberto Carlos’s 92 reflects his 10-year peak, not his last season. Same for every legend.
How does the Icon vote work?
The vote is always open, anonymous, and counts one click per legend per browser. Top voted legends become candidate Icons in the game.
Can I save my favorite Real Madrid lineup?
Your match history is saved automatically. Best lineups can be shared as image cards via the Collection feature.
