Soccer Draft Multiplayer — 1v1 Online vs Real Opponents
Vikto is a free 1v1 soccer draft game where you and a real opponent take turns bidding on football legends from a shared roster, draft your three-player squads, then duel head-to-head. No bots dressed up as players. No predetermined outcomes. Every match is a genuine multiplayer experience against another human being making real decisions.
How does the multiplayer draft work?
Every match starts with both players entering the same lobby — either through random matchmaking or by following a friend’s invite link. You pick a club together (or one is chosen by random draw). Six legends from that club’s 36-deep roster are pulled for your specific match. Both players see the same six legends.
Then the bidding begins. The first legend is up for grabs. You see your $250M budget. You see your opponent’s budget. You submit your bid privately. They submit theirs privately. Both bids reveal simultaneously. Highest wins the legend.
Repeat for each of the six cards. After three picks each (one attacker, one midfielder, one defender), the squads are locked in and the duels resolve the match.

How does Vikto find a real opponent for me?
Two options. First, random matchmaking — open the app, hit Play, and you’ll be matched with another active player within seconds. Active hours skew toward evenings in European and Australian time zones, but matches are available 24/7.
Second, friend challenges. Every game generates a shareable link. Send it to your group chat, your office Slack, your football Discord — first person to click becomes your opponent. This is the format most players use for serious matches.
For asynchronous play, you don’t even need your opponent online at the same time. Each player has up to 24 hours to play their turn. Drop a bid, your opponent gets a notification, they respond when convenient, the game continues. Most matches resolve within an hour even in async mode.
What stops the game from feeling random?
Three things make Vikto a true skill game rather than a coin flip.
First, the blind bidding format. You can’t react to your opponent’s bid in real time — you have to predict it. That requires reading their play style, watching how they spend their budget, anticipating which legends they’ll want.
Second, the budget tiebreaker. If both players bid the same amount, the player with the lower remaining budget wins. This means aggressive early-round spending pays off later. Smart players use this rule strategically.
Third, the Era Boost system. Each legend has a hidden coefficient that reveals only at duel time. Knowing which legends tend to over-perform their base score becomes part of the meta. A skilled player picks up undervalued legends with strong boosts rather than overpaying for the biggest names.

Can I play against my friends specifically?
Yes — and this is where Vikto shines. Generate a match link. Send it to a friend via WhatsApp, Discord, SMS, anywhere. They click it and they’re in your match. No accounts needed on their side beyond a username.
A common observation in casual gaming circles is that the games that retain players longest are the ones where you can directly challenge people you know. Words With Friends, Chess.com, Wordle’s shared squares — all built around frictionless friend challenges. Vikto is built the same way.
What if my opponent disconnects or quits?
In live mode, if a player abandons the match, you’re awarded the win and points stand. In async mode, if a player doesn’t respond within 24 hours of their turn, the match auto-resolves in favor of the active player. So you can’t be griefed by someone refusing to play.
Multiple matches running simultaneously is also supported. Most regular players juggle 3 to 5 matches at once — one with a friend, one in a tournament, two random matchmaking games. Notifications let you know when it’s your turn in any of them.
Are there ranked modes or tournaments?
A global leaderboard and a monthly leaderboard exist for ranked play. Every match contributes to your all-time and monthly stats. Tournament modes are rolling out progressively — including sponsored events with prizes.
For competitive players, the monthly leaderboard is the prestige format. Top performers each month earn permanent badges on their profile that persist even after the leaderboard resets.
Frequently asked questions
Is matchmaking really random?
Yes, but Vikto matches players with similar activity levels and skill ratings when possible.
Can I play with friends who don’t have accounts?
They can play one match without a full account — just a username. Beyond that they’ll need to sign up to track their stats.
How long does a multiplayer match take?
5 minutes live, up to 24 hours async, depending on both players’ availability.
Can I block specific opponents?
Yes. Block features are available for any player you don’t want to be matched with again.
Does Vikto have voice chat?
No. The bidding format is built around silence and individual judgment. Trash talk happens elsewhere.
