Head to Head Football Game — Free 1v1 in Browser

Vikto is football reduced to one opponent and one decision, repeated six times. You and one other player bid blind for the same six legend cards out of the same $250M. You end up with three each, the duels resolve, and one of you was better at reading the other. No teams, no leagues, no waiting on real fixtures.

What makes it 1v1?

Most football games put a simulation between you and your opponent — real-world results, a match engine, a league table. The other player is somewhere behind all that, and what decides the outcome is mostly not either of you.

Here there’s nothing in between. Every card you win is a card they don’t get, from a deck you can both see in advance. When you bid $60M, the only question that matters is what number they wrote down, and the only information you have is what you know about them and about the cards left in the pool.

How does a match work?

Pick a club or national team and a position — attackers, midfielders or defenders. Six legends from that pool are drawn, shown to you both with their scores hidden, then shuffled: you know the field, not the order.

Each card goes to a blind auction. Minimum bid $1M, no passing, and neither of you sees anything until you’ve both locked in. Highest bid takes the card, and a tied bid is settled by a server coin flip.

The rule that decides most matches: the moment one of you owns three cards, the rest of the deck goes to the other player for free. Aggression has a price beyond the money.

How is the winner decided?

Three duels. You name a captain first — one of your three cards, +10% — then both squads are ranked and paired off: best against best, second against second, third against third.

A card whose decade matches the match era scores 10% more, 15% for an Icon, and the same applies for a matching venue. Take two duels out of three and you win. The total across your cards is irrelevant, so a squad that loses one duel heavily and wins two narrowly still takes the match.

Is it skill or luck?

Nothing is rolled. The era, the venue and the captain bonus are all fixed multipliers, and all three are knowable before you bid — each match even carries a rumour pointing at its era, and you can pay $20M to verify it.

What varies is the order the cards appear in, and that’s the same for both players. Everything else is a read: what this legend is worth, what your opponent thinks it’s worth, and how much of your budget you can still afford to lose.

Can I pick my opponent?

Every match generates a shareable link. Send it and they join from a browser — as a guest, without an account, if they want. Or take a random opponent and start immediately.

Turns are async with a 24-hour window, so a head to head match survives both of you being busy. Miss the window entirely and only the current card is forfeited, not the match.

Frequently asked questions

Is it 1v1 only?

Yes. Every match is exactly two players. You can run several at once against different opponents.

Do I need an account?

You can join a shared match as a guest and convert later to keep your collection.

Is it free?

Yes — no packs, no purchases, no premium tier.

How long is a match?

Five minutes if you’re both online, up to a couple of days async.

Can I play against the computer?

No. Every match needs two humans, which is the point of the format.

What if my opponent quits?

If they don’t move within 24 hours, the current card is forfeited to you and the match continues.
